Summary
I had my heart set on the Sony KDS-50A3000 sXRD rear-projection TV. Based on the reviews and what I know about the pros and cons of DLP, LCD, LCoS and Plasma, I thought that the Sony was hands-down the best choice. But when I went to my local Fry's...
Strength
Excellent colors and brightness, LED light source, great features
Weakness
Viewing angle still an issue. Remote doesn't work with DishNetwork.
Bottom Line
Best rear-screen TV out there. Better than Sony sXRD.
This is the opinion of an admitted GadgetAholic. One reason I live in Vegas is so I can attend CES (Consumer Electronics Show) every year and see all the new toys before they hit store shelves. IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not trust the 3/5/08 review...
Strength
Amazing picture and value today at $1149 delivered price.
Weakness
Some have reported humming noise issue but my set is 100% perfect (so far).
Bottom Line
With picture so bright I had to turn it down and LED lamp rated at 20,000 hours, this could be my last TV purchase for a number of years.
