Strength
Easy setup & use! HDMI output! Multi-disc format compatibility!
Weakness
Bare minimum editing options.
Bottom Line
If you need to convert VHS tapes to DVDs and you want it easy and don't care about adding menus & chapters and such, I recommend this unit!
After a few hours over two months of CD play, tracking errors began: about 10 minutes into a cut. Moving back and for the did not help, nor did cleaning. DVD disc reproduction not affected by this problem. It'll have to go back for warranty repairs...
Strength
Wonderful reproduction of commercial DVDs to our Pioneer Plasma.
Weakness
Very slow to load. Minimal manual control of playback without remote and screen.
