Product Description

Kickers Solo-Baric L5 S10L5 10" woofer comes out swinging with a sturdy steel basket, copolymer cone, and durable Santoprene rubber surround for bass that just wont quit. The Inverted Structural Dome (a hallmark of Kicker subwoofers) replaces the conventional dustcap, locking into the cone for unrivaled structural integrity at blasting sound pressure levels. Perimeter venting pumps hot air away from the voice coil for cooler operation and lower distortion. The dual voice coil design lets you wire your sub for high output (2 ohms) or multiple woofer configurations (8 ohms).

Summary

I believe the s10l5 is rated at 450 watts... the guy above must have misread that somewhere. this is an alright subwoofer, if you are going for spl that is, if you are looking for SQ, this sub is ok, but there is definitely better out there. Personally i would rather have a JL W7 03' woofer. After hearing them, there is nothing that sounds better to the ears. By the way, i had my woofer in a ported box, so i wouldnt know how it sounds in a sealed enclosure.

Strength

quite a lot of bass (SPL) at times nice power handling for a 10 inch woofer flexible (DVC) wiring options

Weakness

too much bass (SPL) at times SQ is not that great for a high end subwoofer

Summary

I bought 6 of these kickers 2 months ago since then the have all blew 1 by 1. And it is funny because these things are rated for 600 rms each and I olny had 400 going to each. Thay were hooked up by plesant sounds so they were hooked up right. They are junk I can understand 1 or 2 blowing but all 6. It would be imposible to get 6 bad ones I think it is the sub it's self!!!!

Strength

They sound good while they last.

Weakness

Cant handle power or low notes.
