The Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Notebook also provides encompassing 7.1 surround sound for Dolby® Digital EX as well as DTS-ES™ supported DVD movies; any DirectSound3D games and CMSS 3D virtualized 7.1 stereo music.

Clear, bright sound. DVD decoding and a slew of other features.

Weakness

Occasionally buggy drivers. Dongle might be a problem if you are rough.

Bottom Line

Highly recommended: the sound quality and feature set blow away anything that comes stock in a laptop.

Strength

Inexpensive, amazing sound quality. 7.1 channel decoding. Portable. THX certified. Fantastic software bundle.

Weakness

Drivers install AOL, yuck.

Bottom Line

For under $100, you get THX-ceritified sound with full 7.1 decoding. Your laptop CAN produce great sound with the help of the Audigy 2 ZS Notebook!

The most versatile and talented multi-use mobile sound card available - unparalleled sound quality.

Weakness

I'll have to rerecord all the tracks on my Creative Zen Touch MP3 player...rats!

Bottom Line

Better than even my audiophile expectations, this card has made my best ever recordings, and plays midi instruments wonderfully. Surround sound for DVDs and games along with quality free speakers.

Well, not just mine but many others too. You see it turns out anyone that has a notebook that uses the ENE cardbuss controller will have some issues, and that's a lot of people! Before you buy it - check your device manager to see what's on your PC...

Strength

Inexpensive- With rebates, I only paid $69 + tax at CompUSA.

Weakness

Unusable, poor mfr. support, software isn't the most stable either.
