ConsumerREVIEW.com Inks Deal With iWon
SUNNYVALE, Calif., - July 6, 2001 - ConsumerREVIEW.com, the leading,
trusted source for consumer product information on the Web, and
iWon (www.iwon.com), the Internet's leading loyalty-based portal,
today announced an alliance that brings thousands of consumer-generated
product reviews to iWon users. Starting today,
ConsumerREVIEW.com will be providing reviews within iWon's Computers
and Technology channel. Reviews will also be available soon within
iWon's Autos and Games channels.
"We are excited to extend auto, computing and gaming product
reviews to iWon," said Paul Wassem, CEO of ConsumerREVIEW.com.
"Our reviewers are extremely passionate about their hobbies.
They love sharing opinions about the products they use and they
take the time to write detailed, quality product reviews. Now iWon
users can benefit from the insights of our reviewers and make smarter
choices before they buy."
iWon users can access thousands of consumer reviews and ratings
for auto, computing and video game products such as car audio equipment,
printers, computer monitors and video game consoles. Visitors to
the site can find these reviews, written by and for consumers, within
the Automotive, Computers and Games channels of iWon. iWon users
can also contribute their own product reviews, helping others make
more informed purchasing decisions. The reviews are derived from
ConsumerREVIEW.com's vertical Web communities, CarREVIEW.com, ComputingREVIEW.com
and VideoGameREVIEW.com. These communities offer consumers additional
shopping resources such as buying guides, comparison shopping services
and classifieds as well as opportunities to interact with others
who share their interests.
"ConsumerREVIEW.com's product reviews are a great complement
to the other shopping tools iWon has to offer and will be a terrific
resource for our users," noted Bill Daugherty, Founder and
co-CEO, iWon. "The reviews will help users who are researching
cars, computing equipment, and video game products become more educated
about their purchases."
