Flyswat and ConsumerREVIEW.com Partner To Connect Online Shoppers To Product Enthusiast Reviews And Communities

New Co-branded Versions of flyswat Reach Sophisticated Web Surfers with Targeted Shopping Needs

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - March 1, 2000 - Flyswat, Inc., a company fundamentally changing Internet search and navigation through the development of an information delivery service, and ConsumerREVIEW.com, the leading source of quality consumer-generated product reviews, today announced the availability of ConsumerREVIEW.com and AudioREVIEW.com co-branded versions of flyswat? These versions are available for download at http://www.flyswat.com/crev.html and http://www.flyswat.com/arev.html

Flyswat's information delivery service, in which consumers get relevant, real-time information through contextual links in the text of any Web page or desktop document, is an alternative to the current hunt-and-click model of Internet search technology. Information delivery, which literally provides Answers On-the-Fly, offers a viable option to endless clicking through exhaustive data on the Web.

ConsumerREVIEW.com's content enhances flyswat's service and allows shoppers to be better informed by delivering non-biased, quality reviews from avid users and enthusiast Web communities. This new service allows users to be a click away from the insight and opinion of people who share a common interest in a specific product, hobby or recreational activity.

"We chose to partner with ConsumerREVIEW.com because we believe in connecting users to the most trusted and valued online resources," said John Rodkin, CEO and co-founder of flyswat. "This partnership will allow users to access ConsumerREVIEW.com's content from anywhere on the Web."

The co-branded versions of flyswat are unassumingly incorporated into the user interface at the top of the browser window and exist as text-based links within the Web page. For example, in an article about Panasonic's latest DVD player, the DVD-L50, a yellow-green flycon?link appears beneath the DVD player's name. Clicking on the flycon link raises a pop-up menu with links to further information on the DVD-L50, including a link to ConsumerREVIEW.com's, reviews and ratings.

"The co-branded versions of flyswat and ConsumerREVIEW.com are powerful e-commerce resources for online shoppers," said Max Mancini, CEO of ConsumerREVIEW.com. "This partnership enables us to enhance our incredibly popular Web communities and provide more consumers with access to quality, unbiased product reviews and information."

ConsumerREVIEW.com is the parent company of 17 vertical Web sites, providing access to product reviews and information ranging in content from audio, computing and outdoor activities to digital photography and gardening. The ConsumerREVIEW.com and AudioREVIEW.com versions of flyswat are another example of flyswat's capability to develop strong co-brands and content partnerships throughout the Internet community as they maintain a leadership role in the search and navigation arena.
