Came with directv package. Watched a dvd and was amazed that an "off" brand player could give a decent picture. The one thing that bugs me about this unit is that it will pause or go in slow motion in certain parts of movies when you are in the regular play mode. I checked the dvd using another player and it worked fine, but it will do this to all my dvd. I would only recommend this dvd player if you find it for under 30 bucks. Strengths:

Random pausing and slow motion when in play mode. Display is useless.
