Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $0.00 from Audio T Tunbridge We

Summary:
If you seek out my reviews, you'll see that after 30 years, what I care about is not price...it's sound quality. And that's why I'm writing about this machine. Forget about the price...and the fact that its discontinued....just seek one out and buy it. The resolution is top, top knotch.....way into Wadia territory at a price that left off a zero somehow. One of those units pulled from the line because it didn't look modern enough after Classe was sold to big business. Just get one, use the balanced connections......be amazed.

Strengths:
Sound quality....resolution

Weaknesses:
maybe a little slow to find the disc, but its worth the wait.

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $1600.00 from Audioport

Summary:
This review is for the Classe' CDP-10. I auditioned the numerous players below and none were even in the same league as the Classe'. Chassis design, remote, and most importantly sound were far superior but dont take my word for it. There are several professional reviews on the net that all pretty much say the same thing; the CDP-10 is easily the best CD player under 2 grand. If you find one and you can afford it, grab it. Compared to other products its well worth the price. I got mine as a demo for 1600.00 wit full warranty. If you replace the stock power cord it sounds even better. I use a Kimber PK-10 powerkord.

Strengths:
beautiful sound top to bottom remote doubles as weapon mates perfectly with other Classe' products (except the newest line)

Weaknesses:
Shows weaknesses of other components

Similar Products Used:
CLasse' CDP 1.5, Cambridge Audio Azur 640, Rotel RCD 1070,1072, Arcam Diva 73

Review 3 of 3

Price Paid:  $1500.00 from Audiogon

Summary:
Near-perfection : stable and big soundstage, neutral, dynamic, no agressivity, detailed, low bass, black background. Extremely well build, heavy aluminium remote control. RCA and XLR connections. Stereophile gave it a rave review, the measurements were outstanding, than they put it in "Class B"(instead of A ???). It sounds very similar to my ex-DAC, a Muse Model 2+. It has the qualities of an excellent turntable, and more. Better than Arcam FMJ-CD33, anf for $500 less! Unbelievably good for human voices, violin and piano.

Strengths:
Built quality, Measurements, Sound, Look, compatible HDCD.

Weaknesses:
RCA digital output (no BNC), no output volume control, no headphone output, bulky, bass slightly loose

Similar Products Used:
Philips, NAD, Marantz, Perreaux, Musical Fidelity, CAL, MSB, Adcom, Muse
