from C. Crane & Company Summary: Practical, solid design of a type that has filled a real gap in the market for broadcast AM listeners. Strengths: Digital tuning, ergonomic shape and heft, battery life almost too long to believe, big LCD display with LED backlighting, rotary tuning knob, excellent AM reception. Weaknesses: Mine hums a bit with AC cord, so I stick to batteries, which means the backlighting times out after a little while. Some of the knobs on the front are a little oddly placed. FM sound only OK, but that's why you should buy this. External antenna hookup not really useful. Similar Products Used: GE Superradio, various Grundig digital SW radios, Sony IFC-2010, various analog AM radios.
